Directing And Coaching
Currently works with Rise Up Children’s Choir Amplify as a director, choreographer, and creative collaborator for their high-school-level, auditioned 15-member ensemble. Directed and choreographed two music videos (with two additional projects forthcoming), shaping both movement and visual storytelling. Provided individualized vocal coaching for members on featured solos, helping refine tone, delivery, and performance confidence. Also contributed to styling the group, ensuring a cohesive and intentional visual identity across stage and screen. The ensemble placed 3rd at the ICHSA Semifinals, reflecting their artistic growth and competitive excellence.
Rise Up Children’s Choir Amplify
BYU’s 1AChord
From Fall 2020 to Winter 2022, Abi Rogue directed, served as a vocalist, and arranged for BYU’s 1AChord, an auditioned student a cappella group at Brigham Young University. In this role, she led musical direction, rehearsal planning, and performance preparation while also creating and adapting vocal arrangements tailored to the group’s strengths. She focused on building blend, musicality, and ensemble cohesion, shaping arrangements that were both artistically compelling and performance-ready. Her work with 1AChord combined creative arranging with hands-on leadership in a collaborative collegiate ensemble setting.
Abi Rogue has experience in independent vocal instruction and coaching across a wide range of ages and skill levels. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in “sing to inspire, not to impress,” focusing on helping students step out of their heads and feel empowered by their natural abilities. She develops both vocal technique and performance confidence while encouraging a healthy, grounded approach to music-making. Abi currently serves as a vocal coach for members of Amplify and has taught private voice lessons for college-level students (2021–2024) and students ages 5–16 (2023–2024).
